Welcome to Verseed. By downloading, accessing, or using the Verseed mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Use of the App
Verseed grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Modify, reverse-engineer, or decompile the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Distribute, sublicense, or resell the App or its content
- Use automated means to access or scrape the App
2. Accounts
You may create an account using email, Apple Sign In, or Google Sign In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
3. Bible Content
The Bible text provided in the App is from the King James Version (KJV), which is in the public domain. Additional translations may be made available, each subject to their respective licenses. Audio narration is generated and owned by Verseed.
4. User-Generated Content
When you create highlights, bookmarks, notes, or share verse images through the App, you retain ownership of your content. By using the App's sharing features, you grant Verseed a limited license to display and format your content within the App.
5. Shared Verses and Public Display
When you share a verse through the App, the verse text, reference, and your display name may be publicly displayed on the Verseed website (verseed.online) in a community carousel. By using the share feature, you consent to your display name being shown alongside the verse you shared. If you do not wish your name to appear publicly, you may change your display name in the App settings before sharing. Shared verses cannot be individually removed from the website, but deleting your account will anonymize your previously shared verses.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, code, branding, and audio content, is owned by Verseed and protected by intellectual property laws. The Verseed name, logo, and associated marks are our trademarks. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to use our trademarks.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Core Bible reading features are free. Premium features may be offered through in-app subscriptions. Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms. You may cancel at any time through your store account settings.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verseed shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
